ENERGY MODELING
“Documented Energy savings for Blow-Thru® Space Heaters”
A new white paper summarizes results and conclusions from the first published energy modeling analysis for warehouse heating systems. It documents predicted energy performance for six types of gas fired heating systems used to heat warehouses and other commercial/industrial buildings with large open spaces. Results from this study found direct fired Blow-Thru Space Heating Systems used the least amount of energy. Energy performance guidelines from the white paper can be used for LEED projects, EPAct Federal tax deductions and utility rebate programs. more...

At Cambridge, we only manufacture non-recirculating, direct gas-fired heaters. We understand the difference between make-up air and space heater designs. That's why we offer both technologies, the M-Series Make-Up Air and S-Series Space Heater product lines. Unfortunately, some engineers and contractors who are trying to do the "right" thing by asking for direct gas-fired heaters have been mislead and are therefore selecting the "wrong" direct gas-fired equipment for their applications. The result can be higher operating costs for the building owner as shown in this SPACE HEATING CASE STUDY. more…
"Our Heater is just Like Cambridge"
We hear this statement from competitors who try to quote a "draw-thru" make-up air heater as an equal substitute for a Cambridge "Blow-Thru®" space heater. Don't be fooled. This equipment may look similar but the technology inside is quite different. Only Cambridge offers a Blow-Thru® design certified for 160°F. more…
"Let's Compare Numbers"
How do you compare a Cambridge S-Series, high temperature "Blow-Thru® unit to a low temperature "draw-thru" heater? Actually, it's like comparing apples to oranges because they are different technologies, designed for different applications. In order to match MBH capacities, a low temp, "draw-thru" unit will always require a larger CFM rating than a high temp "Blow-Thru®" heater. See comparisons. more…
Message from the President - "How do you specify energy efficiency?"
This is the question of the decade for our industry. Today's relatively higher cost of natural gas and the uncertainties that lie ahead means energy efficient heating equipment - if it's available - should not be overlooked. more…
"Don't Wait Another Year To Replace Your Inefficient Boiler Heating System"
Recent case study describes how an old, high maintenance gas-fired boiler heating system was replaced with Cambridge direct gas-fired space heaters at a large manufacturing facility. Documented fuel usage declined by 62%. Management saw a two-year payback from reduced maintenance costs and lower gas bills. more…
