S-Series Blow-Thru
Space Heaters
Performance
- More heat, less energy and better indoor air quality. Cambridge S-Series Space Heaters use the least amount of outside air to address the facility's combined air infiltration, make-up air and space heating needs.
- Cambridge manufactures its own patented high efficiency, stainless steel burner for the S-Series Space Heater. You can't get the high performance and extended life of a Cambridge burner unless you have a Genuine Cambridge heater.
- S-Series Heaters are certified for both 160°F temperature rise and 160°F discharge temperature at 0°F outside air. No other heater manufacturer can claim this capability.
- The industry's highest temperature rise and BTU/CFM ratio means quick response to load changes.
- High performance, Blow-Thru technology with the patented Cambridge burner provides more BTUs per CFM than draw-thru make-air heaters. Therefore less outside air and less energy are required for space heating applications.
- High 10:1 mixing induction ratio minimizes air temperature stratification and provides even temperatures throughout the building
- 100% fresh outside air is used to improve indoor air quality, help solve negative air pressure problems and eliminate cold drafts from open dock door.
- High quality Cambridge construction is designed to outperform and outlast the competition.
Reliability
- Unique Blow-Thru design extends the life of critical components by placing the blower, motor and controls out of the heated air stream for less maintenance and longer life.
- Low-voltage, hot-surface igniter technology is the most dependable gas ignition system for gas fired products.
- Cambridge Low Fire Start (Patent Pending) ensures smooth and consistent main burner light-off without antiquated pilot ignition controls.
- Stainless steel burner and flame rod reduce maintenance and provide longer service life.
- Closed cell, non-water absorbing insulation in the base of each unit eliminates condensation problems associated with less expensive fiberglass insulation.
- The industry's best warranty package includes 2 years on the heater and 5 years on the patented Cambridge burner.
Safety
- Cambridge S-Series Heaters use 100% fresh outside air to improve indoor air quality (IAQ). There are no IAQ concerns from re-heating and partial incineration of indoor air as with direct gas-fired make-up air heaters certified to ANSI standard Z.83.18 for recirculating type heaters.
- Approved for use in both the U.S. and Canada.
- Tested and certified by CSA, International - Cambridge was the first manufacturer certified to the new, more stringent requirements of ANSI Standard Z83.4/CSA3.7 for non-recirculating air heaters.
- Cambridge S-series Heaters have emissions less than 5.0 ppm carbon monoxide and 0.5 ppm nitrogen dioxide at all firing rates. This is well below the threshold limits established by OSHA and other public health organizations.
Fast Start & Easy Maintenance
- Blow-Thru design eliminates the time required during start-up for adjustment of burner profile damper necessary with draw-thru heaters.
- Compact, lightweight, pre-piped and pre-wired to make installation and start-up easier.
- Multiple easy-access doors for quick start-up and maintenance.
- Installation flexibility with rooftop, under-roof, thru-wall, pad mount and indoor or outdoor vertical mounting options.
- Service and gas valve leak test switches are provided for easy installation and service.
- Every heater is tested as a fully-assembled unit to minimize initial start-up problems.
Lowest combined owning and operating costs
- Intermittent operation reduces energy costs. Heaters are thermostatically controlled matching heat and air loads that allows for more efficient use of gas and electricity.
- 160°F max temperature rise/discharge temperature delivers the required BTUs without the need for large CFM systems that waste energy and drive up your monthly gas and electric bills.
- 40% to 70% more energy efficient than all other types of indirect and direct gas-fired systems used to heat/ventilate large commercial and industrial buildings.
- No wasted energy because no fuel or heat exchanger is required. This direct-fired design delivers 100% of available BTUs to the heated space.
- Compact size takes up no valuable interior storage or production space
